Eva Schmidt | Philosophy


I am Professor of Theoretical Philosophy - with a focus on epistemology and philosophy of action - at TU Dortmund. I am involved in the Saarbrücken/Bayreuth/Freiburg/Dortmund-based project Explainable Intelligent Systems (EIS), which is supported by a full grant from the Volkswagen Foundation, and I am a PI in two DFG-funded projects: The project Epistemic Dilemmas, Normative Conflicts, and Epistemic Normativity and the project Naive Realism under Pressure, the latter together with Assaf Weksler (University of Haifa/Open University of Israel) and Ori Beck (Ben Gurion Universtity). I am also a PI of the Lamarr Institute of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. And I am a member of the DFG-funded research network "Die Zukunft der Religionsphilosophie".
